The Council is comprised of the chief executive officers of the public
general academic and health-related institutions and the six university
system offices in Texas.

FY2012 Officers: President Joseph Rallo (chairman, Angelo State University), Chancellor Brian McCall (vice chairman, Texas State University System), President Rodney Mabry (secretary/treasurer, University of Texas at Tyler), Chancellor Michael McKinney (past chairman, Texas A&M University System) and President Jesse Rogers (past chairman, Midwestern State University).
FY2012 Executive Committee: Chancellor Francisco Cigarroa (University of Texas System), President Ricardo Maestas (Sul Ross State University/Sul Ross Rio Grande College), President Robert Nelsen (University of Texas-Pan American), President James Spaniolo (University of Texas at Arlington) and President Steven Tallant (Texas A&M University-Kingsville).
